In late 1980's, close to the end the government policy of restructuring (Perestroika) the population was granted the opportunity to establish independent institutions of professional and higher learning. As a result, on October 15, 1988 Nizhny Novgorod School of Effective Management was founded in the historical heart of the city on the Volga embankment. We considered that day to be the date when this Institute was founded.
